1. Exhibition Introduction

Fiber Day 2025 in Germany is the most professional exhibition for the optical communication industry in Central Europe. It is held annually in the most popular tourist city in Germany, the Frankfurt Exhibition Center. The exhibition has been successfully held for 24 sessions. This exhibition has become an excellent place for Chinese companies to seek business opportunities in the German market, and it is also a great opportunity to learn about German operators and engineers. An important platform for new procurement needs. In 2023, there were nearly 210 exhibitors from nearly 21 countries around the world, while only 30 exhibitors from Chinese companies were allowed to participate each year. In 2023, nearly 13000 professional visitors from around the world were attracted to the exhibition, with German domestic procurement orders accounting for over 91%.

3.Market Introduction

As an economic power in Europe, Germany's development in digital technology has been "not awesome". Especially in the development of fiber optic networks, slow action may lead to the loss of competitiveness in its crucial export industry. In today's technological era, underdeveloped networks are unable to establish a foothold in manufacturing industries based on computer technology. According to data from the Organisation for Economic Co operation and Development (OECD) in 2017, the fiber broadband coverage rate in Japan was 76%, Latvia was 62%, Sweden was 58%, and Germany was only 2%.

Not only does Germany lag behind in terms of fiber broadband coverage, but it also lags behind in various digital technology data. A 2017 OECD study showed that Germany ranked 29th among the 34 "industrialized economies" in the world in terms of high-speed Internet facilities. In the IMD World Digital Competitiveness Yearbook released by the International School of Management in Lausanne, Switzerland in 2017, Germany ranked only 17th. The D21 Digital Index released in 2018 shows that Germany is still a digital developing country. According to the German Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV), telecommunications companies are preparing to invest € 50 billion in network expansion in the coming years. It is predicted that the global fiber to the home (FTTH) market will experience significant growth by 2028. Fiber to the Home (FTTH) is mainly used in television, VOIP phone, gaming, local area network services, remote education, smart home, and other fields.
